Global Controller - Operations

Reporting to the VP of Finance the Controller leads the management of all inventory and production facilities worldwide, including financial reporting and metrics, SOX compliance and other projects through responsibilities outlined below:
Partners with the Vice President of Operations and his team and other cross-functional leaders across multiple divisions in evaluating business processes to streamline and drive improvements, with the goal of establishing best practices and standardizing policies and procedures across the business unit.
Responsible for the financial management of global manufacturing operations worldwide, including developing effective costing systems and controls.
Works with VP of Operations in support of strategic plans.
Develops business and cost reports, metrics, and key performance indicators to evaluate, interpret and provide critical information in support of operational decisions, including variance reports such as standard to actuals production costs
variances, purchase price variances, job order variances, work orders, etc.
Ensures internal controls are appropriately designed, documented and operating effectively.
Responsible for accurate recording of inventory and production costs worldwide, including analysis of burden rates, standard costs, managing bill of materials
Manages periodic physical inventories and cost rolls.
Manages the monthly forecast and annual operating and mid-year plans for manufacturing facilities.
Manages the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes---including reviews of balance sheet and interpretation of
operating results and variances for operations facilities.
|Min. of 7 years of experience in related Finance/Accounting position, including cost accounting experience in manufacturing environment.
Highly proficient to advanced excel skills.
Experience using ERP systems. Prefer experience with ERP implementations.
Highly proficient and technical with HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) and/or Essbase/Planning, includingdevelopment and reporting through Smartview.

Strong technical accounting knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX Management.
