Corporate Controller

Overview

We are partnering with a high-growth, private equity–backed infrastructure company to hire a Corporate Controller. This role will be a key leader within the accounting organization, responsible for consolidated financial reporting, technical accounting, and supporting the company’s continued expansion through acquisitions.

This is a highly visible position with direct exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to help shape the accounting function as the business scales.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end close and consolidation process across multiple business units

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and internal reporting requirements

  • Oversee intercompany eliminations and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy across a multi-entity structure

  • Serve as the technical accounting resource, including research and memo preparation for complex transactions (e.g., revenue recognition, leases, business combinations)

  • Act as the primary liaison for external auditors, including coordination of audit deliverables and PBC schedules

  • Support M&A integration efforts, including onboarding acquired entities, aligning accounting policies, and standardizing reporting

  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, tax, treasury, and operations to support business decision-making

  • Drive process improvements and system enhancements, including participation in upcoming ERP and consolidation system implementation

  • Assist in the development and enhancement of accounting policies and internal controls


Qualifications

  • CPA required

  • 10+ years of accounting experience, ideally including a mix of public accounting and industry

  • Strong experience with consolidations and multi-entity financial reporting

  • Deep understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting

  • Experience managing or supporting external audits

  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

  • Strong communication skills and ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders


Preferred Experience

  • Experience with acquisitions and purchase accounting

  • Background in infrastructure, construction, or asset-heavy industries is a plus

  • ERP experience (NetSuite, Dynamics, or similar); exposure to consolidation tools is a plus

  • Experience building or improving accounting processes and controls

  • Leadership experience managing or mentoring accounting professionals
