Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising staff
• Overseeing the monthly close process
• Recording both GAAP and FERC transactions related to fuel, inventory and imbalances
• Establishing and maintaining SOX controls
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations, documents, and work papers used in our SEC, EIA and FERC filings
• Interacts and coordinates activities with various internal customers
• Works with internal and external auditors
• Assists in ad hoc projects
• Development of staff

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong accounting and analysis skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Requires a level of commercial presence and ability to work with all levels of personnel
• Proficient in Excel

Preferred Skills:

• CPA
• Previous Supervision role a plus
• 5 plus years in natural gas
• Understanding of FERC accounting
• Experience in regulated trackers
